Dusty at the Table · Policies & Ethics

The Traveller’s Protocol.
The rules of the Table.

Every reading is a professional exchange. These terms set out the practical rules, ethical boundaries, responsibilities and privacy standards that apply when you use Dusty at the Table.

Please read them before booking. They are here so that both sides know where the boundaries are before the first card is turned.

Table RulesRead First

01 · The Briefing

A clear question gives the work a clear target.

The quality of the reading depends partly on the quality of the Brief you bring to it.

1

Choose the correct reading.

It is your responsibility to select the reading and duration that best match your situation. Read the description before paying and make sure you are booking the correct degree of work.

A booking is not refundable simply because you later decide that a different reading, duration or format would have been more suitable.

2

Be specific.

Unless a reading says otherwise, I require a clear and specific question. A vague request such as “tell me my future” does not give the Table enough structure to work with.

Provide the relevant Ground, Knot and Friction: the background, the central problem and what is stopping or complicating movement now. Notes should be comprehensive but brief.

3

No binary outcome questions.

I do not provide simple yes/no verdicts or questions designed to lock the reading into a guaranteed outcome. The work examines pressures, influences, movement and possibilities.

4

Photographs where required.

If a particular reading or audit requires a photograph, send a clear JPEG through the Contact form or relevant booking route. Do not send photographs unless they have been requested.

02 · Ethical Boundaries

There are rooms this Table does not enter.

Some matters belong with qualified professionals, emergency services or another kind of practitioner.

  • Death and health: no readings about death or medical and health outcomes.
  • Legal matters: no legal predictions, legal strategy or missing-person readings.
  • Money and gambling: no gambling, investment outcomes or financial speculation.
  • Pregnancy: no pregnancy predictions.
  • Suspected infidelity: the cards are not used as surveillance to prove whether a partner is cheating.
  • Mediumship: although I am a trained psychic and spirit medium, mediumship is not offered as a normal online service through this Table. The present work focuses on the living and the problems they are navigating now.

No fixed destiny.

Any intuitive insight, forecast or prediction is a snapshot of the current road, not a guarantee. Choices, actions, circumstances and other people can alter what happens next. You retain ultimate authority over your own life.

Not professional advice.

Readings are for entertainment, informational and suggestive purposes only. They are not a substitute for legal, medical, financial, psychological or other qualified professional advice.

If a matter involves urgent medical, mental-health, safeguarding, legal or emergency concerns, contact the appropriate qualified professional or emergency service.

03 · The Calendar

Booking, timing and rescheduling.

1

The cadence of the work.

Audio Tellings are dispatched within seven working days of both payment and the complete required booking information being received. Live-session availability is typically within seven working days, subject to the diary.

Earlier completion may happen, but it should not be assumed.

2

Table hours.

Published working hours are 10:00 AM to 10:00 PM UK time on weekdays except Wednesdays, with availability on approximately two to three weekends per month.

3

Complete information is required.

All information required for a reading must be submitted through the Contact form or relevant booking route. Incomplete information delays the work and the session remains pending until the missing details arrive.

4

Rescheduling.

Two rearrangements are permitted for a live appointment. A third rearrangement voids the session under the stated booking policy and a new paid booking is required.

5

No-shows.

Live appointments have a ten-minute grace period. If you have not arrived within the first ten minutes, the chair is treated as empty and the session is forfeited. A new appointment requires a new booking and payment.

04 · The Dispatch

Formats, delivery and technical responsibility.

Recorded MP3 readings

Unless a service states otherwise, recorded readings are personally recorded and sent by email to the address you nominate.

You are responsible for providing the correct email address and a device/email account capable of receiving and playing the file.

My sending system provides a verified audit log for each dispatch. If a file genuinely fails in transmission, I will resend it.

Live Zoom readings

You are responsible for ensuring that your internet connection, Zoom installation, microphone and audio equipment are working before the appointment begins.

Please account for UK time differences when arranging a live session.

1

No sessions while driving.

A session may take place while you are in a stationary vehicle, provided it remains parked. I do not conduct sessions with anyone driving or in control of a moving vehicle.

If you are driving when a live session begins, the session will be terminated and the applicable no-refund and rebooking provisions apply.

2

Unused purchased sessions.

A purchased session that remains unused for more than three months may be closed where the client is uncontactable. Outstanding sessions are forfeited after that period under the stated booking terms.

05 · The Threshold

Cancellations and refunds.

1

Once bespoke work begins, it is final.

A reading is prepared individually for you. Once the work has begun, I do not provide a refund simply because you dislike the interpretation, disagree with the reading, or the result is not what you hoped for.

You are paying for the time, experience, labour and discernment involved, not for a guaranteed emotional response or life outcome.

2

Change of mind before work begins.

If you change your mind before the bespoke work has begun, you may request a refund within 30 days of purchase. Any payment-platform commissions or fees that cannot be recovered will be deducted from the amount returned.

Same-day change-of-mind requests are not accepted as routine cancellations under these terms.

3

The 24-hour rule.

Cancellation of a live appointment within 24 hours of the scheduled start time is treated as a missed appointment and is not refundable.

4

Digital non-receipt.

Saying that a digital reading has not been received does not automatically create a refund entitlement. My sending software provides a verified audit log for each delivery.

If a digital file is genuinely lost in transmission, I will resend it.

06 · The Seven-Day Lead Time

The clock starts when the Brief is complete.

Tellings and other bespoke work can take up to seven working days from the point at which I have received the full information required to begin. Weekends and public holidays are excluded.

If I contact you to clarify a missing detail, reply promptly. The work remains delayed until the required information is received.

Overseas clients should account for UK time differences when arranging live appointments.

07 · The Material Trade

Physical goods and shipping, where applicable.

These terms apply only where a transaction includes a deck, book, artefact or other physical item.

  • Packing: items are packed to a professional standard for the journey. Shipping documentation is provided where applicable.
  • Delayed items: first check with your local post office, courier or delivery company.
  • Damage: clear high-resolution photographs of the damaged item and original packaging must be supplied within 48 hours of receipt.
  • Loss or genuine damage: where loss or damage is established, I will do my utmost to resolve the situation under the applicable discretionary resolution terms.
  • Buyer’s remorse: simply changing your mind after receiving an item, or deciding that you do not like it, is not treated as loss, damage or a defect.
  • False claims: dishonest non-receipt claims, deliberately self-inflicted damage or false damage claims will be rejected and may lead to refusal of future service.

08 · Email & Confidence

If the dispatch appears to be missing.

If the stated delivery period has passed, first check spam and junk folders and confirm that you supplied the correct delivery email address. Also verify that your Brief, photographs where required, and other requested information were submitted.

My email system keeps a verified audit log for each digital dispatch, so I can check the delivery record. If a file has genuinely failed in transmission, I will resend it.

For a missing digital file or genuine delivery problem, use the Contact form at https://www.dustyatthetable.com/contact.

I am human too. Technical failure, illness or an unexpected personal emergency can occasionally delay the work. Where possible, I will notify affected clients.

09 · The Closure

When the reading is complete, the board closes.

To be fair to everyone waiting for work, follow-up questions are not included after a completed session. A new question requires the reading process to be reopened and therefore constitutes a new booking.

My conscious recall of an individual reading may be limited once the work is complete. I work from the board and the signal in front of me at the time rather than maintaining a continuing mental record of every completed Telling.

The board closes. If another question arrives, it begins another piece of work.

10 · The Logic of the Signal

Possibility is not certainty.

1

Timing is approximate.

Any date or timeframe mentioned in a reading is an approximation or guide, not an absolute deadline or guaranteed calendar event.

2

Your choices still matter.

A reading is a guide to influences, momentum and possible trajectories. It is not a doctrine to live by. I cannot make decisions for you, alter events on your behalf or remove your responsibility for what you choose to do.

The map is not the road.

I provide the reading. You decide what to do with it. The traveller retains full autonomy and responsibility for their own choices.

The Final Ledger

Mandates, discretion and terms of entry.

  • Age: all services are for people aged 18 or over.
  • Professional discretion: I may decline or terminate work if I determine that the matter is inappropriate for the service or I am not the most suitable person to address it.
  • Ordinary professional unsuitability: if I decline a pre-paid matter because I am not the appropriate practitioner, the pre-paid fee will be refunded in accordance with the stated policy.
  • Safety and fitness to participate: I reserve the right to refuse or terminate a session where a person is underage, intoxicated, under the influence of substances, or otherwise unable to engage safely and appropriately.
  • Private intellectual work: guidance, mappings, interpretations and original material prepared for your private reading are for your personal use and should not be republished or publicly distributed as general content or as your own professional work.
  • Third-party bookings: do not book an ordinary reading for another person without their explicit knowledge and consent.
  • Gift certificates: use the official gift-certificate route where you wish to give a reading as a gift. Gift certificates are valid for 12 months from the date of issue.
  • Non-discrimination: the practice is intended to provide an inclusive environment based on equality, acceptance and mutual respect.
  • Terms may change: these protocols may be revised as the service develops. Check the current terms before each new booking.
  • Governing law: transactions and interactions are governed by the laws of England and Wales.
  • E&OE: Errors and Omissions Excepted.

By booking or using a service.

By purchasing or using a Dusty at the Table service, you confirm that you have read, understood and accepted the applicable booking terms, ethical boundaries and operational rules.

If you do not agree with these terms, please do not complete the booking.

The Covenant of Silence

Privacy at the Table.

Your information is part of a private working exchange. It is not content to be traded.

1

What I collect.

I collect only the information needed to perform and administer the work: normally your name, email address, booking details and the information you voluntarily provide about your situation, including the Knot, Ground, Friction and question.

2

Your story remains yours.

Your personal details and circumstances are treated as private. I do not sell or trade your personal information to third parties for their own use.

Information connected with a reading is retained only for as long as needed to complete and administer the work and satisfy legitimate record-keeping requirements.

3

Payments.

Financial transactions are handled through PayPal or the payment provider used at checkout. I do not see or store your card number, bank details or other payment credentials. I receive confirmation that payment has been completed.

4

Your right to request deletion.

Once the work connected with your booking has concluded, you may request deletion of personal information through the Contact form, subject to anything that must legitimately be retained for administrative record-keeping.

5

Cookies.

The site may use basic cookies needed for site functionality and to understand general movement through the website. The stated policy does not use the data as a means of following you away from the site through intrusive tracking.

“The lantern is lit. The board is clear. The road remains yours.”

Before the Handshake
