What’s on the Table

Nothing on the table is there by accident.

Dusty at the Table is not built around theatrical paraphernalia or mystical window dressing. The objects on the table are visual markers. Each one represents a kind of situation, pressure, warning, ending, blockage, or road that a person may bring into a reading.

They are there to remind us what the graft is really about: finding where you stand, what is affecting the road, and what needs to happen next.

The woodblock represents the working ground. Before anything can be read, the question has to land somewhere solid. No floating nonsense. No vague spiritual fog. The matter comes to the table and is looked at properly.

The wooden box and cloth hold the cards. The box keeps the craft protected; the cloth marks the reading space. When the cards come out, the question has entered the room properly.

The black cat represents the cat in the yard or fairground – the one that watches, listens, and catches what is creeping under the boards. In a reading, the cat stands for the hidden problem: the thing quietly chewing away at the situation, the nuisance, the pest, the pattern that needs to be found before it causes more damage. The cat has grit and is a grafter.

The lantern is lit when the table is open. It does not promise an easy road. It shows enough light for the next step. Sometimes that light shows a way forward. Sometimes it shows what must be avoided.

The skull represents the hard truth that not every situation is meant to be repaired. Some roads end. Some bridges need burning. Some relationships, jobs, habits, or old patterns have served their purpose and must be laid down before anything new can move.

Behind the table are the three lights: red, amber, and green.

Red is the warning light. It is the stop signal, the dashboard alert, the sign that something needs serious attention before you go any further.

Amber is the waiting point. It does not mean yes and it does not mean no. It means pause, watch the timing, check the gauge, and do not force movement before the road is ready.

Green is movement. On the dashboard it is a sign things are working and It means the road has energy, the situation has motion, or the way forward is clearer – but even a green light still asks you to keep your eyes open.

Together, these objects form the language of the table.

The Woodblock represents the Marseille tarot – the original woodblocks.

The Wooden box is where the cards are safely stored
and wrapped in the cloth for protection.

The The cat finds the pest. The cat has grit and does the graft.

The lantern shows the road.

The skull names the ending.

The lights tell us whether the situation says stop, wait, or go.

The Weather Glass

At times, I use the crystal ball as a weather glass before the Marseille cards are laid or as I go through the reading.

Not for random predictions. Not for theatre. The crystal is there to read the atmosphere around the question – the fog, the pressure, the stillness, the heat, or the crosswind.

If I use the crystal, it is part of the graft.

Then the Marseille tarot comes to the table and maps the structure: the pattern, the blockage, the movement, and the road.

This isn’t about guessing the future; it’s about seeing exactly where you’re standing so you can make your next move with your eyes open. Choose the degree of the work that fits the weight of your situation.

Why I do this Graft

I don’t sit at this Table because I enjoy seeing people in a crisis. I sit here because I believe that no one should have to walk a jagged path without a map.

I realise this because I’ve had to break my own mirrors before.

In the old Celtic tradition, they talked about the Anam Cara – the soul friend. This wasn’t someone who told you what you wanted to hear to make you smile. It was someone who loved you enough to tell you the absolute truth so you didn’t walk off a cliff.

That is my handshake with you. I am your scout. I will find the louse on the bonnet and I will name the ghost in the train, but I do it so you can walk away from this Table with your head up and your feet on the ground. You have my word and my focus.

“I’ll see you at the wood.”

Grit, Graft, and The Open Road

Before we sit at the Table, you need to understand the tools. This is not a performance;
it is a refit.

The Handshake:
The Travellers Toll

1. Contributions: The contribution is settled securely via the PayPal Gateway. I never see, nor do I store, your financial coordinates. The sanctuary of the Table begins at the gate.

2. Be Specific: In ALL instances I require clear, specific questions. I don’t answer vague questions about “the future.” I map specific crossroads. Tell me the real story, and I’ll give you a real answer. If you hide the truth, the map will be blurred.

3. Your Telling: To give your Telling the focus it deserves, please send your details within 48 hours of payment – ideally alongside your Handshake. If I don’t hear from you in that window, the session will be placed on hold to keep the Table open for others. We will pick up the thread as soon as your dispatch arrives.

4. Focus on the Living: I am a psychic and trained spirit medium, but I have put the ghosts to rest for this work. At this Table, we talk about your life right now. If you’re looking for a séance, you’re at the wrong stall.

5. The Work is Final: I do not sugar-coat the truth. I will tell you what the cards indicate and what you need to hear, not necessarily what you want to hear. If you are looking for someone to confirm your own expectations, you are at the wrong Table. Because of the time and labour involved in the Telling, and because the graft is bespoke, there are no refunds under any circumstances once we have shaken hands and started the work – even if the readout is not what you hoped for. (Please refer to my Policies & Ethics page.)

6. The Terms of Entry: Travellers are advised to consult the comprehensive Policies and Ethics documentation in full. By purchasing or utilising any services provided at this Table, you are deemed to have read, understood, and consented to be bound by all terms, conditions, ethical boundaries, and logistical mandates in their entirety.

“Map your move. Take the path.”
