Dispatches from the Road

Readings, strange roads and the things that refuse to stay neatly explained.

This is where the work stretches beyond the reading itself.

The blog will bring together articles on Tarot de Marseille, traditional divination, reading practice, symbolism, folklore, unusual experiences, paranormal reports, liminal places, superstition, strange history and the questions that sit somewhere between the everyday and the unexplained.

Some pieces will come directly from the Table: how readings work, why certain patterns repeat, how cards change meaning when they meet each other, why context matters, and where divination can be useful without pretending that the future is fixed.

Others will take the road outside. Expect haunted places, old beliefs, ghost stories, curious customs, fairground history, strange encounters, folklore, research, reported experiences and the occasional story that leaves more questions behind than it answers.

I am interested in the mysterious, but not in making everything mysterious. Sometimes there is a good explanation. Sometimes there are several possible explanations. And sometimes something remains stubbornly difficult to place.

That is usually where things become interesting.

The first dispatches are coming.

There is nothing pinned to the board just yet, but that will change. New articles will appear as subjects, stories, research and curiosities find their way to the Table.

Call back regularly. The lantern is lit, the road keeps moving, and there will always be something else worth looking into.

Some stories arrive at the Table. Others are found further down the road.
